Vic: Banking union to ensure NAB Jobs not lost
The banking union says it will seek assurances from National Australia Bank's new chief
executive that jobs won't be lost in the wake of the $360 million foreign exchange trading
scandal.
PAUL SHRODER of the Finance Sector Union says today's resignation of NAB chief executive
FRANK CICUTTO makes commitments made last week about jobs worthless.
Mr CICUTTO is being replaced by the head of NAB's United Kingdom operations, JOHN STEWART.
Mr SCHRODER says Mr CICUTTO's resignation comes as a surprise and he'll be seeking
assurances from the new chief that the jobs of the bank's 10,000 employees are secure.
